Webster Family Pictures - my kids

When we took our family pictures at Camelback, my kids were NOT cooperating at all. So I decided to quickly take a few pictures of them in their family picture clothes when we got home.

These are as good as it's gonna get for now haha. You try making a two-and-a-half-year old and a one-year old sit still for more than 15 seconds, and tell me how it goes. ;)

Camelback 2014 - Part 1

Every year on Memorial Day weekend, Bryson's family (his mom's side of the family - the Bryson's) goes to Scottsdale, AZ to a JW Marriott resort called Camelback Inn for a family reunion. This is the 30th year that the Bryson's have had this family reunion at Camelback!

We hadn't been to Camelback in a couple years, so we were so excited to go this year!

Here'a Ava on a camel's back at Camelback in front of Camelback Mountain. :)

We drove straight through on Wednesday and got there in time for dinner and to put our kids to bed. Thursday morning, our kids woke us up bright at early and we headed to the pool around 9am. And that's where we spent most of our time during the entire weekend...relaxing, lounging, playing, swimming, eating, drinking smoothies by the pool. And loving every minute of it. Ava was a total waterbug and spent every single waking moment floating in that pool. Poor girl got absolutely fried the first day - that night I ran to Target to buy her a rash guard and hat and she was much, much more covered up the rest of the weekend. (Total Mom fail - I felt, and still do feel, sick about it!) It was so nice to be able to sit by the pool and watch my kids play with their grandparents and aunts and uncles. Usually when I take my kids to the pool, it's just me with both of them in the water, so being able to sit back and relax was most enjoyable haha. :)

Camelback 2014 - Part 2

Friday evening, the entire family goes to a little park (called the "train park") near the hotel for a catered BBQ. It's always a lot of fun to visit with everyone while the kids run around in the big fields and play on the playground. My kids loved following around their big 2nd cousins - and I loved that I basically had built-in babysitters all weekend long haha. After dinner, everyone (not just the kids...everyone!) rode this little train around the park. Ava loved it, of course! Gavin was a little fearful, as usual...but overall he loved it too! We all ended up staying until after the sun went down, the kids could have played all night long, had we let them. What a great night at the train park!

Saturday, we were back at the pool! This was by far the most crowded day at the pool, which made it super fun! They had a DJ playing music all day, we ordered ourselves some smoothies and spent the entire day at the pool - from about 10am until 5pm.
The boys started a big Bryson vs Lindsay family volleyball game.
Gavin taking a break, drinking a smoothie and living the dream. :)
Ava is OBSESSED with her Auntie Maddie!
We had suits that kind of matched! Twiners!
On Sunday, they always have a family meeting (which is like Sacrament meeting minus the sacrament) in the morning. After the meeting, everyone takes family pictures in front of these doors - you will always see pictures of all the families in their Sunday clothes in front of these doors haha.
After the morning meeting, we went to lunch at In N Out and all came back to take nice, long naps. We took some real family pictures and then went to family testimony meeting (which my kids only lasted about an hour and a half).

And that was Camelback in a nutshell. We loved every minute of it and can't wait for the next time we get to go! We already miss our family so much! July's beach trip can't come soon enough!!

Sure love ya, love ya, love ya!
