Just a couple things

Just a couple of things I have made recently. Nothing big or special, but it's been fun to find things on Pinterest or on Etsy and then make them for so much cheaper.

Little pink corduroy boots
Little pink corduroy boots
Burp Cloths
Felt Flowers
Nursing Cover
Chiffon Flower
Pacifier clips.

I think I might be obsessed. The shoes are 100 times easier to make than the boots. I just used scrap fabric that I already had from something else and made these super quickly while listening to the USA women's soccer game.

31 weeks

Sometimes I forget how big I have become. I very rarely, if ever, forget that I am pregnant (because it is constantly on my mind), but I do forget the massive belly I have acquired over these last 8 months. I forget until I walk past a window or a mirror and BAM, I remember again. I think that pregnancy looks different on everyone else, meaning I think all pregnant women are "soooo cute" but when I look at myself I just laugh and say, "Is this really MY body?"  It's weird because I can still wear all my old pants, unbuttoned of course. I think it's because I am carrying high, so I haven't gained any weight in my legs or hips - just belly. I don't know.  I can't believe I still have 9 weeks of growing - and these are the months that baby packs on those pounds, which means I probably will too. Oh dear. :)

So, here is a video (sans makeup or anything else that would make me look presentable haha) of me at 31 weeks. It looks like I have a pillow stuffed under my shirt haha.

Tonight marked another "pregnancy milestone" for me. For the first time, a girl taking our order at a restaurant (a stranger haha) just touched my belly and started rubbing it while asking "How pregnant are you?" haha. Hilarious. :)

Baby Boots Part 2

I LOVE making these little boots. The 2nd pair was MUCH easier to make because I actually knew what I was doing. One of the best things about these is that you only need 1/4 yard of each fabric to make them, which means they are VERY inexpensive! And the possibilities are endless!

Colorado Baby Shower

My mother-in-law and sister-in-law threw me a baby shower in Colorado before we moved to San Francisco. It was beautifully decorated, there was DELICIOUS food, and it was so fun to see all the people from Colorado Springs!

Lots of pink candy :)

pink, pink, pink :)

The cutest guests :)
I LOVE that I got the same little pink and white striped dress as a gift (complete coincidence!) :)
The desert/candy spread. This was just the "sweets" portion of the food - the rest was on a different table.  SOOoooO delicious! :)
Thank you, thank you, thank you Maddie and Momma Webster :)
Suurrrre love ya!

Baby Boots

I have seen these little baby boots for the longest time and I've wanted to make them forever! So the other day at the fabric store, I went to the clearance section and found some cute material and buttons and spent a whopping $1.50 for everything I needed for these boots. It was definitely an adventure sewing these little boots, but I can tell that I am getting the hang of sewing a little bit more with each mistake I make and with each stitch I have to pick out haha. The next pair of these boots I make, I will definitely be doing a couple things differently, but for my first pair, I am pretty proud of myself. :)
