Virginia Beach

Tuesday was our last day in Virginia, so we headed to Virginia Beach! The wind was soooo strong, all our stuff kept blowing away. We chased our umbrellas down the beach several times until we decided to pay $25 and rent a cabana. Totally worth it!

Poor Gavin wiped out early in the day and his face went under the water and it definitely scared him, so he spent the rest of the day pretty cautious around the water. He loved the sand but as soon as the waves would come up the shore, he would run away haha. Sweet boy. He also got something in his eyes - we don't know if he rubbed sunscreen in his eyes or if sand blew in there, but his eyes were pretty red and swollen and he was so fussy, Bryson ended up taking him to the car so he could take a nap haha.

Ava was an absolute beach bum and total waterbug. She LOVED jumping the waves and catching sand crabs, building sandcastles with Kaki and burrying everyone's feet in the sand. She danced around the beach singing at the top of her lungs Tangled and Frozen songs. On the way home she fell asleep and when she woke up, she opened her eyes and dreamily said, "I wuv the ocean." She could probably live at the beach.

Overall it was a super fun day!! So happy to be at Virginia Beach with Auntie Kaki, Leah, Auntie Kait and our family. Now we can't wait for out San Diego beach trip!
