Santa Cruz

Today we decided that since Ava is "contagious" and can't be in direct contact with any other people,

and since it's supposed to rain for the rest of the week starting tomorrow...

...we decided that we should go on a little "road trip."

So, Kaitlyn and I loaded up in the car and headed south to the beach town, Santa Cruz. 

We spent the afternoon watching the sea lions, admiring the surfers and soaking in the absolute beauty of the ocean waves crashing on the rocks.

Ava was a trooper. 

When she wasn't catching up on some much needed rest,

she was squealing in delight at everything there was to look at. 

(And at the wind. She loves the wind.)
