Teething...boo

Teething is so sad.
Those little baby teeth are sharp!
And they mean business!
Poor, poor baby Ava.
She is not buying into this whole teeth thing.
Can you blame her, really?

We first noticed her gums were swollen a couple weeks ago,
but it wasn't until our car ride home from Southern California that I finally saw that little tooth poking through her gums.
And since then it has been a constant, never-ending droolfest.
And sob-fest.
And very-little-sleep-fest.
But that's okay.

I don't like seeing my usually very cheerful baby just feeling...sad.
She just gets this very sad pout and her eyes well up with tears and she sticks her arms into the air saying,
"Hold me Mommy."
So I do.
And that seems to make her feel a little bit better.

This video is an example of how she has been the last couple days.
She will be happy, happy, happy...
then all of a sudden, you do something she doesn't quite like and
....well, see for yourself. :)

Here's to a speedy teething process. :)
